April is World Autism Month, an observance designed to help raise awareness about autism and celebrate the achievements of people who are on the autism spectrum. Not surprisingly, the autism health specialists at Caravel Autism Health (“Caravel”) are out in full force. In cities across the Midwest, they are taking part in this important opportunity to help others understand more about autism and about the life-changing benefits of ABA therapy.

As major league baseball kicked off its season, team members from Caravel’s Milwaukee office were cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers during Miller Park’s Autism Awareness Day. Ninety miles south, staffers from Caravel’s five Chicago-area offices gathered to root for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field’s Autism Awareness Day.

Throughout the month, Caravel’s staff members participated in a wide-ranging array of community events designed to raise money and awareness about autism. In partnership with Autism Speaks, Caravel was on hand for the first-ever Autism Speaks 5K Glow Run in Green Bay, WI. They also took part in the North Shore Walk in Chicago’s north suburbs.

Our Caravel team also represented at the One Walk Big Strides for Autism event in Madison, WI, hosted by the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin. Late this month, Caravel’s autism health specialists were there for the Autism Society of Northeast Wisconsin’s 15th Annual Bowl for Autism event in Green Bay, WI. Finally, Caravel’s employees joined former Green Bay Packers star Leroy Butler at the 13th Anniversary Fox Cities Walk-4-Autism in Kimberly, WI.

As Caravel’s CEO Mike Miller explains, “At Caravel, our mission is ‘We change lives.’ Part of accomplishing that means getting out there in the many communities we serve to educate, advocate and support people living with autism.”
