EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) — A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday for the new Caravel Autism Health center in Eau Claire. This new state-of-the-art facility is 6,000 square feet and replaces the old one that sat on top of an Anytime Fitness gym. The new facility is equipped with four classrooms as well as a playground at the side of the building. The clinic also features colorful, sensory-friendly spaces where children work one-on-one with a therapist. According to clinic director Carly Burish, this new facility will help reach more people in the community. “I am hoping to expand,” Burish said. “Offer more services to more clients and their families. Also offer more teammates opportunities for growth and development.” Burish is also hoping to bring more jobs to the community. The facility is now serving 21 kids but has the capacity to serve up to 30.
