May 8, 2025 (Deerfield, IL) – Caravel Autism Health, a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of young children on the autism spectrum, is pleased to announce that Dr. Adam Hahs is joining its leadership team as Chief Clinical Officer. Dr. Hahs, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, is an experienced clinical leader in the specialty of Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA uses positive reinforcement to help children build communication and social skills. It is recognized as the most effective treatment for children with autism by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Over his 20-year career in the autism field, Dr. Hahs has earned a strong reputation as a researcher, leader, professor, and practitioner. He served as the director of the MSABA program at Arizona State University’s Department of Psychology. As a member of the International Consortium for Health Outcome Measurement supported by Stanford University, he helped identify critical outcome metrics for autism and ABA. In 2024, he earned his Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Medical School for his research on the use of artificial intelligence in autism therapy for children.
Dr. Hahs has also served as associate editor at Behavior Analysis in Practice and as guest reviewer for scientific journals including Behavioral Interventions and the Journal of Contextual Behavioral Science. Most recently, Dr. Hahs served as Chief Science Officer for Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers, where he was responsible for leading research, clinical outcomes, and training.
In his new role at Caravel, Dr. Hahs will focus on further propelling innovation and quality of care initiatives led by the company’s Clinical Center of Excellence. “Dr. Hahs has amassed a strong track record of exceptional leadership and research in autism,” said Caravel’s CEO Mike Miller. “He has a keen focus on raising the bar for how clinicians deliver care, how clinicians are trained, and how they measure the outcomes being achieved through advanced care models.”
