Caravel Autism Health Expanding in Multiple Locations Across Wisconsin

Media & Press, Press Releases | April 30, 2019

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]April 30, 2019 (Green Bay, WI)– Caravel Autism Health, a leading provider of autism therapy for children, is expanding its services in Wisconsin. Effective this month, Caravel Autism Health is joining forces with Integrated Development Services (IDS) and Centerpiece Autism Services LLC. The newly combined group will have a strong focus on expanding access to high quality, evidence-based autism therapy for families living in Wisconsin.

Caravel Autism Health, IDS and Centerpiece provide comprehensive support for families. They offer diagnostic evaluations by clinical psychologists specially trained and experienced in autism diagnoses and create individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (“ABA”) therapy plans to help children with autism develop communication skills, improve social interactions and gain necessary skills to show their individuality.

Founded in 2009, Caravel Autism Health and its subsidiaries now offer diagnostic and therapeutic services through 13 locations across Wisconsin in addition to providing similar services in Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington today. “This combination strengthens our presence across Wisconsin, allowing us to serve more families and bringing them the best clinical practices,” explained Mike Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Caravel Autism Health. “We are expanding from a focus on home-based therapy to now offering five clinic-based locations in Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee. This growth affords families an additional option for therapy that fits with their work and school schedules.”

Caravel Autism Health offers multiple therapy options for children with autism. These options include home-based ABA therapy, center-based ABA therapy, and a hybrid model combining the two. Regardless of where the therapy takes place, all families receive the same level of evidence-based therapy, parent training and comprehensive support that gives their children the greatest chance for leading independent and happy lives.

One in 59 children has autism, according to the latest estimate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As public awareness grows about the benefits of ABA therapy, many parents discover that there is a provider shortage in their community. “We want to extend our reach at Caravel Autism Health so that our autism health specialists can change children’s lives in more Wisconsin communities,” said Miller.

Mahin Para-Cremer, Director of Operations for IDS, shared “We are excited to be working together with Caravel Autism Health. Our companies are committed to delivering high quality, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. We will have greater access to the resources we need to grow and support children with autism across Wisconsin.” Janice Miles, Chief Executive Officer of Centerpiece added, “We have teamed up with Caravel to provide our clinical teams access to the tools needed to continue to grow and support our high quality ABA therapy in our center-based locations. This includes Caravel’s leading technology that supports the tracking of outcome data for each of our clients.”

With this combination, Caravel Autism Health now serves children with autism in the Wisconsin communities and surrounding areas of Appleton, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, and Wausau.
