Today, on Juneteenth, we are proud to share the following update:
After reflection on the injustice and tragedy of the killing of George Floyd and subsequent events that have unfolded across our nation, and the challenges faced by many individuals of color in our society, our leadership team has considered our role in our communities carefully. We oppose discrimination, inequality and harassment of any kind. We believe that Black lives matter, too. We believe we have the responsibility to move beyond words into action. We have been engaging internally in discussions with our teams; listening, planning, and investing in the steps we can take to positively impact diversity, equality and inclusion in our #CaravelUnited community, as well as the broader communities in which we live and work. Caravel is launching our Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion committee this month, with charter initiatives and concrete actions to be announced in July. Stay tuned for more details regarding how Caravel will be agents of change.
