Caravel Autism Health Opens Clinic in Wausau, WI

Wausau, WI – Caravel Autism Health has a new clinic in the Wausau Area. The clinic is located at 453 Grand Avenue in Schofield, Wisconsin. Dr. Jodi Nuernberger is the Clinic Director and the Lead Therapist for the Wausau Clinic.

The new clinic will offer diagnostic evaluations, testing, autism therapy, and social skills training for children on the autism spectrum. Most of Caravel’s individualized therapy takes place in the home in the child’s natural environment. Dr. Jodi Nuernberger is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation, emphasizing in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University. She has extensive experience assisting individuals with autism spectrum disability for over 11 years. She is passionate about using behavior analysis to find what is motivating to each child, and to understand his/her unique learning style. She has co-authored several published studies drawn from her clinical work in the areas of language and social skill development, preference assessment, and the therapy of problem behaviors.

Dr. Nuernberger said, “We are excited about opening our new office location. We can now offer families in the Wausau, Rhinelander, Shawano, Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield areas access to high quality autism therapy. We have been treating families in the area for the last three years from our Green Bay clinic, but this location will expand our reach to more families and offer a convenient location for their first meeting with Caravel.”
